The Emory University Division of Hospital Medicine (EDHM) seeks MD or PhD investigators to capitalize on its existing clinical experience and expertise to develop a robust research program. The more than 118 faculty of the EDHM care for a broad range of patients across multiple clinical sites that include community hospitals, university hospitals, and a VA Medical Center, providing an opportunity to answer important clinical research questions. Additionally, the Division includes innovative and award-winning clinical teachers. We believe that the best hospital medicine researchers are those who ask novel, important, and answerable questions about clinical hospital medicine.
Candidates with interest and demonstrates ability in healthcare services, quality improvement, or operations research are encouraged to apply. Competitive candidates include hospitalists or general medicine academicians and/or non-clinician PhD researchers with training in epidemiology, health policy, health services research or a similar field. Preference will be given to applicants who have a proven track record in clinical research as demonstrated by a history of success in obtaining extramural grant funding.
