This position is responsible forcultivating a learning environment for industry-bound students, as well asthose students who wish to pursue graduate studies. Additionally,interaction with members of the professional community through ongoing liaisonand participation in local and national chapters of major event and meetingprofessional associations, will be an ongoing responsibility.Duties/Responsibilities This position requires teaching courses in the required curriculum for theBS in Event and Meeting Management degree, which include Event ProjectPlanning, Event Catering Systems, Trade Show and Exhibition Management,Special Event Production, Event and Meeting Contracting, CorporateMeetings, Global Meetings and Events, Event Support Systems (utilizationof current meeting and event technology), Advanced Planning, and RiskManagement. The successful candidate will teach up to 12 credit hours persemester (Fall and Spring), which may include teaching evening and/oronline classes. The instructor will combine classroom learning withexperiential learning, and will effectively integrate technology(internet, social media, and teaching online) into course work,applied research, and advising.
