THE POSITION

Are you looking for a rewarding career that makes a difference in the lives of others? If so, the Department of Human Services, Warren State Hospital is seeking to fill a full-time Psychological Services Specialist, DHS position.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

You will provide a variety of direct psychological services, consultative services, and Treatment Team services to patients with serious and persistent mental illness. Such services include providing individual psychological treatment services; conducting psychoeducational groups; and conducting assessment procedures, which involve testing of intelligence, cognitive capabilities, personality features, neuropsychological deficits, functional levels, and psycho-pathological conditions.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

In order to be selected for this position, you must be able to show, at the time of hire, verification that you have receivedeithera single-dose COVID-19 vaccinationorthe first dose of a two-dose series COVID-19 vaccination. If you have received the first dose of a two-dose vaccination, and you are selected for this position, you will have to show verification that you have received the second inoculation by no later than February 26, 2022, in order to continue employment in this position.

Selected candidates with a start date of February 26, 2022, or after must show, at the time of hire, verification that you have receivedeithera single-dose COVID-19 vaccination, or both doses of a two-dose COVID-19 vaccination. If you are unable to show the required verification, your employment will be terminated.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: One year of professional direct service experience in the field of psychology under the direct supervision of a licensed clinical professional,and a master's degree in psychology, counseling, or social work, which includes fifteen credits in psychology.
